Summer Requirements
- Must have an Interval Data Recording meter or an Advanced Meter (AMI)
- Must have peak electric demand of 500 kW or more and be able to reduce by 5 kW or more.
How It Works
- Program operating period (June-September)
- Scheduled interruption to establish incentive contract
- Unscheduled interruptions (based on options selected)
- AEP Texas notifies Project Sponsor to interrupt customer load with at least a 30-minute notice.
Winter Requirements
- Must have an Interval Data Recording meter or an Advanced Meter (AMI)
- Must have peak electric demand of 500 kW or more and be able to reduce by 100 kW or more.
How It Works
- Program operating period (December 1 of the current year, through last day of February the following year)
- Scheduled interruption to establish incentive contract
- Unscheduled interruptions (24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
- AEP Texas notifies Project Sponsor to interrupt customer load with a 30-minute notice.
