Measurement and Verification Projects

  • Participants in the program are responsible for creating their own Measurement and Verification (M&V) plans and conducting all M&V activities related to their project(s)

  • Project-specific M&V procedures may be classified according to three distinct approaches that represent increasing levels of detail and rigor

  • Three distinct approaches are: Deemed, Simple M&V, and Full M&V

Visual Inspections

Prior to paying incentives, an AEP Texas representative will perform post-inspections to verify quantity, location and installation of equipment.

A scheduled inspection, at the customer’s convenience, will consist of a walk-though of the customer’s site and could take 30 minutes to an hour depending on the amount of installations.

Program Funding

Program funding is limited and project applications must be pre-approved before incentives are reserved. All projects require the following steps and documentation:

  • Program Registration
  • Project Application
  • Signed Project Sponsor and Customer Agreement
  • Completed Equipment Survey Forms
  • Manufacturers Equipment Information
  • Project Pre-inspection
  • Signed Commercial Standard Offer Program Agreement
  • Signed Customer Acknowledgement Form
  • Post-inspection
  • Incentives can be paid to the applicant or the customer
